Gemma Kilbourn was superb, keeping us well informed in a friendly but not intrusive manner. Her personal touch and going 'above and beyond' so that incould view the colour of the car in the flesh so to speak really made a huge difference to my overall satisfaction. I visited inchape Chelmsford mini looking to buy my first car and found the perfect first car thanks to the help of the lovely Tom Smith. I was very reluctant to buy a car as the money I had saved was supposed to be used for a deposit on my first property with my partner but Tom was so enthusiastic and helpful that I walked out super excited to buy it rather then sad about what I was supposed to be using my money for. No one will ever understand just how much I needed a new car to take the next step in the next chapter of my life. Thank you so much to Tom for making it such an exciting experience I absolutely love my new car and couldn't be happier with the service i received. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new car.

It seemed to me the front axle was noisy on speed bumps, no issue found apart from overinflated tires. A courtesy visual inspection of the car was included, together with washing and wax. At no charge.

Welcoming sales staff who are keen to ensure that you make the correct choice when buying a car. Lockdown has changed the way in which buying a car is done with emailed forms to sign and e-banking almost a necessity. If you are not connected - you are probably not buying. Ask the staff to explain the process and how you tax the car. Make notes. When you collect your car check it thoroughly. We had a sticker obscuring part of the number plate; a rear parcel shelf, and a charging cable missing from our ex-demonstrator car. Apparently a jack and wheel brace for changing tyres are no longer supplied with new cars. All electric cars performance figures have continued the fossil fuel tradition of being unachievable in the real world. Our fully charged e mini reports a range of 104 miles, not the 145 claimed. So reduce any claimed range by 25% to get more realistic figures. (Also true for our hybrid golf). Charge & range varies with the season. What the mini is achieving has yet to be worked out because we are enjoying it too much!
